A documentary narrating the ups and downs of a nomad (and clown) that left Spain by on his bike 8 years ago and has not returned to Spain yet. The documentary has been filmed in Japan, South Korea, Australia, NZ, USA, Canada and Cameroon. It is a project by the creator of the Nomad’s Smile.
SCRIPT
When a nomad on a bike goes back to the first world- he had left more than 3000 nights ago- problems arise too often. The clown, useful in Japan to mitigate the pain caused by the Tsunami, will be useless in the USA to get away from the police harassment. The only option left to cycle the first world that has lost common sense, humour and love is: Spreading Happiness.
LOCATIONS
Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, the United States and Cameroon.
Duration 27 minutes

Thanks to the great human team who has collaborated in this documentary. If it wasn’t for them, I would not have been able to make such and awesome documentary…. Better say, I would not have made any documentary.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
The birth of the Documentary
I met Matias Saccomanno in Cameroon in 2005. This young film director filmed some interviews and some performances which he later edited in a documentary format that has never seen the light. In 2013 I met him again in Bariloche (Argentina) with his wife, Carole (a digital art professional), and we decided to create the documentary: Spreading Happiness.
In the last two years I have cycled different countries. I have cycled from Japan to Alaska, stopping over in Hawaii. When I arrived in Japan the situation was not that good, two months after my arrival the Tsunami hit Japan. However, I decided to stay and offer my performance to the victims. **The Japanese TV channel, NHK, **filmed and broadcasted my performances and interviews. Part of this material is used in my new documentary.
Funding for the documentary
I decided to contact Verkami for my new documentary. The reason? It has more to do with the idea underlying SPREADING HAPPINESS than with money.
Most of the budget comes from my savings, the money I have made selling my books or documentaries online www.paquebote.com
A documentary is different from a book or any other project I have made. A documentary is costly. To edit this documentary I had to fly from LA to Argentina and spend several weeks working on it.
Most of the people involved in this project do it ad honorem. The high level of quality of the people involved ensures the high level of quality of the documentary. Keep on reading to find out more.
Sponsors
They joined the project BEFORE it was in VERKAMI. I give them a burst of applause and thank them for their collaboration. Most of them have collaborated in previous projects: the Nomad’s Smile.

Not this documentary. Just the technical audiovisual and sound equipment surpasses that amount. This kind of documentaries is made of love. Benedetti used to say “when you travel the Universe also travels with you”.

No has llegado tarde.
